Sad! :(

7 Jul

Because my Germans lost, for the second time in a row, in the semifinals.

Sorry I haven’t been updating, I don’t even have a good reason for it other than pure sloth, so here I go with a long rambling post about how sad I am that Germany lost against Spain today.

I would also like to briefly note (before I start to type endlessly) that there was an earthquake today, and despite what the idiots on twitter think, earthquake is one word.

I’m now going to give a total recap of basically everything I can remember thinking in the past 48 hours in regards to events in the world cup.

Yesterday, the Netherlands took on Uruguay. I think everyone would agree that the Netherlands were an overwhelming favorite to win. Uruguay’s path to the semifinals has been tough.

Diego Forlan is a fucking god… and I’m not even saying that because he’s hot. (Like really hot.) He alone has basically kept the team from sinking, and the poor guy was injured and still played almost the entire match to give his team even the smallest of chances, especially with Suarez suspended. I feel so bad for that guy. It was his best chance ever to win. Goooooodness.

I DON’T AGREE WITH ANYONE WHO SAYS URUGUAY’S LOSS YESTERDAY WAS “BAD KARMA.” (THAT’S RIGHT STEVE MCMANAMAN, I’M TALKING TO YOU, YEAH YOU. STOP PICKING ON OTHER TEAMS AND THEIR KEEPERS AND START THINKING ABOUT THE ENGLISH, BUDDY.) Also, I don’t appreciate anyone who searched “fernando muslera is gay” to get to this blog LOLOL thx

Also, I hate the Dutch. They need to stop diving and playing gay soccer. Get up off the ground and stop whining, alright?

The only thing I hate more about the Dutch other than the team are the fans. That obnoxious Dutch orange makes me want to slit my wrists. I don’t really even care about the color, considering my room is obnoxiously orange too. HOWEVER, I do not appreciate the “I’m going to blow my vuvuzela like fuck” thing that they have going. And the whole booing situation. Seriously. It’s already bad enough that the team displays absolutely no sportsmanship. The fact that the fans are worse? Wow.

Basically, please stop blowing your fucking vuvuzelas, fucking crazyass Dutch fans who drove from the Netherlands to South Africa in caravans for the world cup. And please being bad sports.

And no, I’m not being a hater right now.

Spain and Germany.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.

GERMANY WERE NOT SUCH HUMONGOUS UNDERDOGS, OKAY? I’M TIRED OF PEOPLE TREATING THEM LIKE THEY WERE SO MAJORLY OUTMATCHED THAT THERE WAS NO CHANCE THEY COULD WIN.

I’m one of those people who think that if Muller had played, Germany could’ve won. I know that that’s an excuse, and one that isn’t even right, but I’m one of those what-if people too.

I will be one of the first to admit that Germany did not look good from the very beginning of the match. I watched in vain as I screamed at my tv, and I hoped they would regain some confidence at halftime.

The Spanish played better, and ultimately I wanted the better team to go to the finals because as much as I wanted Germany to win the cup this year, I don’t want the Dutch to win it.

Germany and the Netherlands would’ve played one hell of a final match.

And now this final match might be really boring considering the Spanish just love to do that whole “we’re going to keep the ball and just pass to each other a lot and now you can come and get us” thing, and it’s just boring to watch. Even today… like oh my gosh LOL it was so dull, no excitement, only goal from a corner…

I think Germany contained Spain fairly well, and if it went to penalties, hell yeah I think Germany would’ve won, but they didn’t even get that far. But that one header by Puyol was just too unstoppable, and at the rate the Spanish were going, it was inevitable.

Germany just played with no confidence, like they were apprentices to Spain, which was the master.

I think Spain’s team, at the time being, is the best in the world. I didn’t really know about their team before this year, and recalling their performance in 2006, I felt like they weren’t really going to be a threat. Looking at their record, you wouldn’t think they would be that great either. Never made it past quarterfinals? Puhlease.

But looking carefully at that squad now, it’s more surprising that they haven’t won that much until recently. They have amazing players in all their starters, players who shine at the club level and now proudly represent Spain internationally.

In my opinion, this year is Spain’s year.

But in 2014, baby watch out for them Germans. In Brazil, Germany will be the team that Spain is now. A team with talented and experienced players who dominate the entire field no matter the opponent.

I’m proud of my Germans for making it this far, and I wish them the best of luck in the third place match. And I also hope Miro gets his record 🙂 that man deserves it.

Oh yeah.

Fucking Paul the octopus. Go die. I hope you get eaten.

Jaykay, that oracular octopus should be moved out of Germany immediately for his own safety because I would want to chop him up into a billion pieces and feed him to the German people too if I were a total die-hard German fan.

Well, I am, but I don’t believe in animal cruelty. So you get away with that this time Paul.

So after Spain won,

Emily decided to call me,

and as I screamed “I HATE YOU” into the phone,

she continued to tease,

“SPAIN WON SPAIN WON HAHAHAHAHHA YOUR TEAM LOST HAHAHA GERMANY LOST.”

What a lovely girl.

“I WOULD ALSO LIKE YOU TO KNOW THAT THIS CALL COSTS LIKE 20 CENTS A MINUTE.”

Gotta love her.
