Getting ready to go back to China.

12 Aug

Not really, since we don’t leave until next Tuesday, and I still have a lot of work to do, but we’re already making arrangements and all that jazz for when we leave.

I’m kinda excited but kinda scared at the same time. It’s not often that you don’t return to the country of your birth for over 11 years. I’m excited about the people I’ll get to see again, and the shopping! my goodness, it will be amazing. I’m scared terrified of the expectations that my family and former friends have built up over all this time. I don’t want to disappoint, you know? (If you don’t know me well, disappointment is, in my opinion, one of the worst emotions.)

Enough about that, more later as I pack and shizzzz and we really get under way.

By the way, this trip is like my first real vacation in god knows how long. I have not left southern California, with the exception of Christmas weekend in Vegas a few years back, since I moved here. %#@^%#

The past two days were kinda fhao;werwear.

On Tuesday, my mom and I spent the whole day out and about buying gifts for family and friends in China. Apparently, designer fragrance is a hot commodity. So we went to alllll these places. We were going to get Clinique Happy from Ulta (one of my favoritesssss omg) until I realized TJ Maxx was only a few stores down. So we went there instead, and we hit the motherload. We got like 7 bottles of misc Elizabeth Arden, two bottles of Tommy Bahama (which we tried since there was an open box and it smelled amazing), two bottles of Calvin Klein’s One Summer, and one bottle of Juicy Couture’s Viva la Juicy (for myself, though I think I’ll always prefer the original Juicy Couture perfume; they just didn’t have it in stock!). All in all, it wasn’t much over $200, which is freaking miraculous.

And then we went to Costco to get vitamins. I don’t know what it is about Asian people and getting humongous packages of vitamins in bulk for their family. I guess we just really like our relatives to stay healthy? So yeah, we bought another $150 worth of vitamins.

Yesterday, the morning was kinda lazy, but in the afternoon I did a lot of work. Around noon-ish, the Mexico-Spain game began. It was a terrible game. I probably shouldn’t have watched it. LOL reminds me that I hate watching the Spanish play soccer.

They’re just super good looking, Zoolander style.

OH YEAH, IN THE MORNING I WATCHED THE U21 GAME BETWEEN GERMANY AND ICELAND. I FREAKING WANTED TO SMACK ALL THOSE GERMANY PLAYERS. WHAT IN THE WORLD WERE THEY DOING?!?!?!? I CAN’T EVEN EXPLAIN HOW ANNOYED I WAS. FINAL SCORE 4-1, ICELAND. GG YOU GERMANS >:o

^ k that was harsh I’ll admit but it was a terrible game filled with the most ridiculous mistakes.

Also, Sweden tied Germany yesterday, 2-2. I really don’t know what to say. I’m going to go out on the limb and say that it really doesn’t mean much considering it’s the first international friendly after the world cup and WC starters probably didn’t play/hardly played. Just a thought.

I’m going out tonight. Or not even tonight. Late afternoon/early evening. And dinner, I think. I don’t go out really, so this is like really rare. (<- redundant, helllllo)

I realized that in my group of friends, almost everyone got their license during junior year, save two people. So we are all hella independent and shiz now.

WE’RE ALL GROWING UP !!!!!

Oh yeah…

This boy has been in a serious relationship (they live together) with his girlfriend for two years. Which means it started when he was 17. And he still picks up his girlfriend from school.

FUCK LIFE

HIS GIRLFRIEND CAN BE DEALT WITH

THEY’RE BOTH SO PERFECT AND ADORABLE TOGETHER I WISH THEM ONLY THE BEST :’)

I was reading the article from the site that the pictures came from, and I had it google translated, though it wasn’t even that hard to understand so I don’t know why I did that. ANYWAYS, google translator started calling her his bride. And I nearly shit a brick.

IT’S OKAY, SHE’S HIS NOVIA, AS IN GIRLFRIEND, AS IN NOT BRIDE, AS IN THEY ARE NOT MARRIED, AS IN THEY AREN’T GETTING MARRIED, AS IN I CAN BREATHEEEE.

Oh, in another funny case of google translate fail,

THANK YOU SERGIO RAMOS, GLAD YOU GUYS ARE TRAINING HARD.

FINDING IT REALLY HARD ENTERTAINING TO “BE PATIENCE” WITH YOUR ENGLISH LEARNING. BUT I’M GLAD “SOME HELP IS GOING ON” SO YOU’LL “FEEL SECURE WITH IT.”

^ sorry that was just mean

Oh, and people have been messing with Xabi’s wikipedia page. The GQMF thing is still there (last paragraph of the intro), and a few days ago someone changed the name above his picture to “Xabi ‘God’ Alonso.” And some loser changed it back, hot damn. I’m pretty sure anyone who’s going to visit that page is a sexually frustrated girl that enjoys having that sort of information.
